For the steel structure workshop, it is common for the roof fan aerated building to conduct natural ventilation cooling, as shown in the following figure.However, during the construction of Wuhan fengbaishun company for many years, it is found that some workshops can not achieve good ventilation and cooling effect.Therefore, we kindly remind: customers who want to be steel structure workshop should consider the problem of active ventilation and cooling in the design of plant structure.In order to avoid passive installation of plant ventilation equipment in the process of use.And it can avoid the bad consequences of large damage to plant facilities, unsatisfactory ventilation effect, unable to install and so on.

General elevated structure workshop, there is no special high-power heating equipment, personnel is not very dense, there is no odor or dust generation, the use of roof fan + air tower way of the workshop ventilation is OK.However, for some hardware, plastic, casting and forging, clothing, electroplating, welding workshops, especially those that produce more smoke and odor, natural ventilation can no longer effectively exhaust the harmful gases in the workshop.These gases accumulate in the mid air of the workshop, forming a flue gas mass, which has a certain impact on the normal production of the factory.Smoke and high temperature weather, if there is no other ventilation and cooling equipment, it will make the factory staff feel very stuffy and affect the production efficiency.

For this kind of steel structure workshop with high structure and large span, the best way to solve the problem of ventilation, cooling and smoke exhaust is to install a large amount of exhaust fan on the roof to exhaust the air outdoors; form indoor negative pressure; press a large amount of fresh air into the workshop from around the workshop to form air convection; so the effect of ventilation and smoke exhaust is better.

Based on this, we put forward the following suggestions for the steel structure workshop under planning and construction (the workshop requiring active ventilation)

1、 Please consider the problem of active ventilation during planning and design. It is recommended not to install air ball (the active exhaust effect of one 1380 * 1380 negative pressure fan can replace dozens of natural ventilation air balls, as shown in the figure below).And if installed on the roof actively

If the negative pressure fan of exhaust air is installed with air ball, a part of air will enter the workshop directly from the air ball, and then be discharged by the negative pressure fan, which will form an air “short circuit” and cause waste of resources.

2、 If the workshop office is to be designed in the workshop, please design it at both ends of the plant, not on both sides. In other words, the office should be designed on the short side of the plant.If it must be designed on the long side, the height of the workshop office should not be too high, so as to keep the ventilation windows above the outside wall of the office.This is very important to remember.

3、 In the design of active ventilation equipment, it is suggested not to choose the traditional circular fan, but to choose the square negative pressure fan with large exhaust air volume and rainproof shutter.The square negative pressure fan is easy to install. The square, light and thin structure is suitable for installation on the channel steel of the workshop.

4、 Please reserve the hole for installing the fan.If negative pressure fan is installed, the most mature mainstream model is 1380 * 1380 * 350.Please reserve a 1420 height hole, that is to say, the distance between the upper and lower channel steel is 1420.The weight of the fan is generally less than 80kg, please consider the bearing problem.The general principle of installation quantity is: install one fan per 100 square meters of plant.

5、 Air tower: it is recommended to choose the double font type air tower. This kind of air tower is easy to install and has good ventilation and smoke exhaust effect.It’s better to extend the upper part of the air tower forward for rain protection.

As shown in the figure below, the negative pressure fan installed in the gas tower of a heavy industry enterprise in Wuhan (photos taken before completion, no sealing and no silver paint).The roof structure with eaves is worth learning.The smoke exhaust effect of the roof is very ideal.

Don’t choose lotus shaped air tower, as shown in the figure below.

As can be seen from the above figure, it is not easy to install the negative pressure fan.If a negative pressure fan is to be installed, the remaining hole in the fan position must be sealed to ensure the effect,

The following figure shows a case of ventilation and cooling on the roof.There is no air tower on the roof, or it is not easy to install fans, so we have to open a hole on the roof and make a sealed structure like a small room.The construction is very troublesome, and the damage to the workshop is great.

To illustrate, the above-mentioned cases of installing fans on the roof of the workshop consider more the demand of removing smoke and odor in the workshop.If it is necessary to further ventilate and cool the workshop to meet the staff’s demand for cooling, it is necessary to install fans on the side of the workshop (3 ~ 6 m) so that the wind can flow through the workshop in parallel, making the staff feel more comfortable.

Therefore, our suggestion is: please reserve a place for installing fans on the roof, and consider installing fans on the side of the plant.Combined action, ventilation cooling effect will be better.
