Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corp., a Danbury, Connecticut-based logistics company, has opened a store in Brooklyn.
A company press release notes that Odyssey Specialized Logistics LLC has opened a logistics facility at 9000 Brookpark Road. The press release says the facility is focused on warehousing and regional transportation rental and storage, integrating facilities in California, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri and Texas.
“Our new office in Brooklyn joins a well-established set of facilities that provide the steel logistics industry with high-quality steel storage and on-site transportation,” said John Kelly, vice president of freight transportation at Odyssey Specialized Logistics, in a press release. because it has existing infrastructure and is close to the Port of Cleveland and many other metalworking companies in the Cleveland area.”
The Brooklyn facility has a whopping 72,000 square feet of warehouse space, the press release said. The facility has a variety of handling equipment, including overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 10 to 40 tons and grabs with a lifting capacity of 30 tons.
According to information provided by the company, four employees and six drivers are currently working at the facility. The company is hiring 12 employees and more than 20 drivers for the plant.
