Hao Jiping, vice president of Xi’an University of Architectural Science and Technology, has been studying assembly architecture. He said that the development of assembly architecture is the preferred way for the transformation and upgrading of China’s construction industry. Assembled steel structure building has many advantages, and it is a typical green building. However, due to insufficient understanding of the development of green building and biased understanding of the cost of assembling steel structure building, its development is restricted.

In the survey, Hao Jiping found that although China has become the largest steel structure country in the world with the largest consumption of steel structure, the largest industrial scale and the largest number of enterprises. However, compared with 30% of steel output in developed countries, only 8% in China, which is relatively low, shows that assembled steel structure buildings have broad prospects for development.

Hao Jiping suggested that the relevant departments should strengthen propaganda through various channels and forms through pilot projects so as to enhance the awareness and recognition of the whole society and guide the whole society to form a mode of production, lifestyle and consumption that saves resources and protects the environment. At the same time, some subsidies are given to steel structure buildings that meet the modernization standards of construction industry, which are used to subsidize the incremental costs of deepening design, production, transportation and hoisting. For qualified steel structure enterprises, they can enjoy preferential tax policies, such as preferential income tax, preferential value-added tax for comprehensive utilization of resources, additional deduction of R&D expenses, accelerated depreciation of R&D equipment, according to the state regulations, to make policy subsidies, so as to promote the rapid development of assembly steel structure construction industry.
