The quality of steel structure engineering mainly depends on human, welding equipment, construction technology, welding materials, welder’s technical level and environmental factors. The so-called five major elements of human, machine, material, method and ring. Therefore, in the process of steel structure engineering implementation, special attention should be paid or effective prevention should be taken in many cases.
1、 Whether the steel, welding material, welding method and position, joint form, welding preheating, post heat treatment and welding process parameters are qualified according to the regulations.
2、 Whether the site evenness, compactness, strength, rigidity and stability of temporary support jig and horse frame can meet the requirements of construction technology and accuracy of steel components.
3、 Whether the camber value of the pre arched component meets the design requirements has been rechecked.
4、 During the assembly of steel structure, whether attention has been paid to whether there is no eccentricity between web member and main bar or between main pipe and steel ball before welding.
5、 Check whether the welder has the work license and weld within the specified range.
6、 Whether there are corresponding measures to meet the process quality for welding operation under low temperature and wind and rain conditions.
7、 Whether the welding materials are matched and whether the welding rods are dried according to the regulations before use.
8、 Whether the rust, mud or mistakenly painted paint has been specially cleaned before the welding of the weld groove, and whether the methods and welding procedures which can make the welding stress and welding deformation very small have been considered and adopted.
9、 Whether the weld clearance meets the design requirements of steel structure.
10、 Whether the lining steel or gasket used in the design requirements has been lined in place before welding.
11、 Attention should be paid to whether the welding defects are filled with steel bars or sporadic scrap iron plates.
12、 Whether the butt joint of steel structure main member is staggered or not, welding shall be carried out if the misalignment is within the allowable deviation.
13、 When multi-layer and multi pass welding is carried out, whether there are proper tools to remove the welding overlap, slag inclusion and spatter in time and thoroughly.
14、 Whether there is the improper assembly and welding sequence of multi member joints at the intersection, and the unreasonable situation of welding after assembling.
15、 Whether there is not welding in place, not fully welded, or even missed welding, especially in the dead corner or overhead welding position.
